NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF BISHOPS OFFLEY MILLENNIUM GREEN TRUST

The Annual General Meeting of the Bishops Offley Millennium Green Trust will be held at The Star Inn, Copmere End, from 7.30 pm on Tuesday 6th October, 2026.  It is open to all inhabitants of the locality benefiting from the Trust, and the purpose of the meeting is to seek the views and opinions of Inhabitants on the use and enjoyment of the Millennium Green and the appointment of Trustees.

The business of the meeting will include amendments to the Deed by which the Trust was established, to improve the administration of the Trust, as follows:

Clause 1

In Clause 1, the definition of "Property" is to be amended by the insertion of the words "the Bishops Offley Millennium Green the location of which is shown on the map attached as Appendix 1" between "means" and "and all and any land".

Clause 4.1.9

Clause 4.1.9 is to be amended:

i)  By the deletion of the word “and” between the words “similar charitable purposes” and “exchange information”; and

ii) By the addition, after the words “exchange information and advice with them” of the following:

“to co-operate and assist in their fund-raising activities, and to support them with financial donations and gifts provided that

4.1.9.1.   the value of such donations or gifts shall not in any accounting year exceed one-twentieth of the Charity’s net income in the last accounting year for which accounts shall have been finalised or £300, whichever is the greater; and

4.1.9.2.   no such donation or gift shall be made unless authorised by at least 75% of Trustees in a vote at an ordinary meeting of Trustees or at an annual general meeting”

Clause 17

Clause 17 is to be amended by the deletion of the words ", in books kept for the purpose,".

Clause 22.3

Clause 22.3 is to be amended by deletion of the words "and advertised in a newspaper circulating in the Locality".

Schedule 1

         A new Schedule 1 is to be inserted as follows

“SCHEDULE 1 – THE LOCALITY

The villages of Bishops Offley, Adbaston, Walk Mill and Copmere End, with their outlying hamlets, farms and dwellings”
