ADBASTON PARISH COUNCIL

A MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL TOOK PLACE ON MONDAY 12TH DECEMBER 2011 at 7.30PM IN THE JUBILEE ROOM, ADBASTON.

PRESENT: Cllr(s) N.Evans., B.Brown., P.Byrd., P.Drewnicki., G.Mansell., A.Ward.,(Borough Councillor J Pert)

ITEM 1 CHAIRMAN'S WELCOME: The chairman welcomed all those present and opened the meeting.

ITEM 2 APOLOGIES: An apology had been received from Cllr P Nicholson.

ITEM 3 MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 10TH MEETING: These were accepted as a true record and signed by the chairman.

ITEM 4 MATTERS ARISING:-

A NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: This is progressing well, contacts have been made and the OWL Hotline set up. Two thefts of heating oil have been reported and it was stressed that all thefts should be reported to the police to give an accurate picture. More volunteers would be welcome. On going.

B The chairman had contacted the factory manager of Premier Foods who had in turn approached both Staffordshire and Telford and Wrekin Councils (Notes from this conversation provided) One way forward would be for Grit and Salt to be provided by Staffordshire County Council for spreading by volunteers (farmers?) who would receive payment from the council for this. Two names were put forward by the meeting and these will be asked to contact Council liaison Officer Shane Latham. On going.

C BISHOPS OFFLEY COMMON: Work In progress, discussions are being held with neighbouring residents, scrub around the pond and walking areas being removed in phases, making an improvement to the habitat of wildlife in that area. Updates will be given on a regular basis. On going.

D DRAINS, BISHOPS OFFLEY: Work carried out. Discharge.

E PARISH MAP: This cannot be located. Discharge.

G SPARE LAND AT JUNCTION WITH KNIGHTON ROAD. Discharge.

H DRAINS, MARSH MEADOW. On going.

I PARISH PLAN QUESTIONNAIRE: Draft provided, views requested prior to publication in the February parish Newsletter. On going.

J 30MPH SPEED LIMIT. Cllr P Nicholson contacting Cllr H Butters. On going.

CHURCHYARD MAINTENANCE £500.00 (balance of £232.00 to be paid from precept)

B CONCURRENT ALLOWANCE 2012/2013: The full allowance to be requested.

C PRECEPT: To be established on receipt of figures from Stafford Borough Council.

11/16381/FUL RETENTION OF ATTACHED STORE FOR USE AS HEAT PUMP PLANT, HOUSE/LOG STORE TO INCLUDE PROVISION OF SOLAR PANAELS TO ROOF OF STORE (MINOR MATERIAL AMENDMENT TO PERMISSION 09/12176/FUL, GREATLANDS, OUTLANDS LANE, OFFLEY BROOK.

11/16378/FUL INSTALLATION OF 261 SUNTECH 190W SOLAR PANELS TO ROOF SLOPE OF EXISTING BUILDING, FLASHBROOK MANOR, BEARS LANE, FLASHBROOK.

NO OBJECTIONS RAISED TO EITHER OF THESE APPLICATIONS.
